Chapman University School of Law is located in Orange, CA
Chapman University School of Law, referred to sometimes as Chapman Law, is a private, non-profit law school located in Orange, California. The school offers the Juris Doctor (JD), a combined JD/MBA and an LL.M. in Taxation. The law school is fully accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools.
Chapman Law opened in 1995, and is a part of Chapman University, a private university that traces its roots to 1861. Originally housed in leased office space off-campus, the School of Law moved to the University's downtown Orange campus when it opened its own building, the state-of-the-art Donald P. Kennedy Hall, in 1999.
Chapman Law is listed in the 4th Tier of US News and World Report's annual law school rankings. Chapman Law is the only law school in Orange County located on a university campus, and is the second of 3 fully accredited, ABA Approved law schools in Orange County, California.
Chapman University’s School of Law has a faculty of thirty-three, three of whom are former clerks to U.S. Supreme Court justices, a law library with holdings in excess of 279,000 volumes and volume equivalents, and a curriculum that offers training in core courses and electives.
