Contribution limits
Contribution limits are published by the FEC. These amounts are adjusted for inflation. For example, in the 2023 - 2024 federal election, no more than $3,300 may be given to a candidate directly[1].
The McCain–Feingold Act of 2002 also limits the amounts of money that may be given to a political party. For example, the contribution limit for 2021-2022 by a person to a political party was $36,500 per calendar year.[2]
