This template is to insert authoriship information about court opinion parts (majority, concurrence, etc.) into case briefs. Each different part needs to be inserted in a separate form in the relevant case brief page.

| opinion_type | One of "majority," "unanimous," "concurrence," "dissent," OR "concur/dissent." |
| written_by | The justice who wrote this opinion part. |
| joined_by | The justices who joined the majority decision. If multiple, separate by asterisk. If the decision was unanimous, simply leave blank. |
