Michael Purpura is the chief legal officer of BlackSand Capital.[1] He worked in the White House Counsel’s office during George W. Bush’s presidency. Previously, Mr. Purpura worked in the U.S. attorney's office in both the District of Hawaii and the Southern District of New York.
He was named to President Trump's impeachment defense team, serving as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Counsel to the President.
