Norton Rose Fulbright is an international law firm, with more than 4000 lawyers and other legal staff based in 33 countries across Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.[1] It was formed by the merger of UK-based Norton Rose and US-based Fulbright & Jaworski in June 2013.[2]

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, Norton Rose Fulbright Australia, Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa Inc are separate legal entities, all of which are members of Norton Rose Fulbright Verein, a Swiss verein. Norton Rose Fulbright Verein helps coordinate the activities of the members but does not itself provide legal services to clients.

Norton Rose Fulbright achieved a top five ranking in Acritas' Sharplegal 2015 Global Elite Brand Index.[3]

On June 30, 2017, Norton Rose Fulbright and Chadbourne & Parke combined to create a global firm with approximately 4,000 lawyers based in 59 offices worldwide.

Norton Rose Fulbright is one of the oldest operating law firms in the United Kingdom.[4] Founded by Sir Philip Rose and Henry Elland Norton, Baxter, Rose & Norton opened its office on Victoria Street and expanded as a result of its banking and finance practice.[5] The firm counted London and Brighton Railway[6] and Great Northern Railway[7] among its client listing.

Baxter, Rose & Norton also specialized in election agency.[8] The firm administered the business of the Conservative Party and went on to advise dozens of Members of Parliament, including Benjamin Disraeli[9] and Sir Edward Colebrooke.[10]
